Story From AzCentral.Com
Gov. Janet Napolitano on Friday signed into law a bill to prohibit local governments from creating new laws or rules relating to the possession or storage of firearms.
The measure expands on the state's existing restrictions on local laws dealing with transportation, possession, sale and use of guns.
Senate Bill 2649 was supported by the Arizona Citizens Defense League, a gun rights group, and opposed by a group representing police chiefs around the state.
Note: As I understand it, the Arizona Citizens Defense League was founded based upon the hyper-successful Virginia Citizens Defense League and has at least one VCDL Executive Member on the board. Way to go ACDL!!!!
