Went to Berglund (BIG local car dealer) to look at a new car my wife had tried earlier in the day. Salesman was very glad to see us but manager kicked us off the lot almost immediately. Said I could come back without the gun (yeah, right).

A couple of years ago but germaine ... leaving dinner at Monsantos grill, the chef was saying goodbye to his patrons. He said something about me being armed ... I don't recall exactly what was said, but when it came out that I had a CHP he grinned and said he was getting his next week.

OC in Walgreens on Main St. Stood at the checkout for a few minutes next to a guy in a wheelchair. He asked if I would help him carry stuff to his car. I guess the pistol made me look trustworthy maybe? He had NC tags, so maybe just a normal sight.
