Texas gun group’s protest sends restaurant employees fleeing for freezer as cops respond ....

“We respect the rights of all citizens to peacefully protest and the right to bear arms. However, we cannot stress enough how a simple phone call to police prior to this demonstration and the use of easily visible signage could have avoided unnecessarily alarming the public,” he said.

What? They want you to call ? hahaha

Yeah, this story has blown way up. You probably have a select few people responsible for the over-publication of this little event. I won't mention their names, but we all know who I'm talking about. It may or may not have been one of "their members" that made the 911 call in the first place. It is yet to be determined.

According to head of corporate security for Jack in the Box, no employee of Jack in the Box hid in the freezer or called 911. OCTC members have photos posing with the Jack in the Box employees, who have smiles on their faces.

Just to reiterate, Director of Corporate Security Gene James confirmed that "without a shadow of a doubt" no Jack in the Box employee his inside of a freezer or cooler. The Fort Worth police have continued statements that this was the case, however. I wonder why.

According to Fort Worth police this is the ONLY 911 call that was received: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRaYd7rxfqg

"Walking casually through the parking lot" "They're just dressed casually, walking around casually"

"One of them was walking, you know straying behind them taking picture of them walking away"

Must be an armed robbery, right? Right? Guys? No? Hmm.

Demanding Moms (and a cop) caught lying... again

Despite clear statements to the contrary from employees and management,
and pictures showing that DM are lying,
and the cop is lying,
Demanding Moms have no shame about spreading lies about an open carry event in Texas.

http://buzzpo.com/moms-demand-action-caught-red-handed-lying-open-carry-demonstration/

Last week, a few groups in Texas staged an “open carry” walk in Fort Worth, TX that quickly became national news. This article is a startling update to this incident, and how “Moms Demand Action” has been lying about their demonstration.

Sergeant Ray Bush of the Forth Worth Police Department wrote in an email last week that the employees at the Jack in the Box where Open Carry Texas staged a demonstration, “locked themselves inside a freezer for protection out of fear the rifle-carrying men would rob them.”

However, Brian Luscomb, vice president of corporate communications for Jack in the Box publicly stated this evening, “Our employees told us that they did not hide in the freezer.” That is further verified by the members of “Open Carry Texas” taking pictures with the restaurants employees, and posting them on the internet; and the employees didn’t appear frightened at all!

Go see the article for a picture of the employees posing with OC attendees.
I wonder if Sgt. Bush is going to be disciplined for his lies.

This discussion is not "old" and nobody forced you into this thread. Goodbye now.

A complaint when a 2 year old thread is rezzed is legitimate. A complaint that there was a reply to a topic no further down than 3 threads deep in the list, and isn't even 2 weeks old? What's your problem?

Apparently Jack in the Box management has caved - OCd guns no longer will be okay there :(

Jack in the hole did not ban firearms

Jack in the box did not ban firearms like MDA is claiming, why is there not a group against Mothers Who Lie? Jack in the Box used the word prefer, there so called ban is similar to Starbucks press release. While not a ban, I certainly would not give them my hard earned money for not standing up to bullies.

"Creating a warm and inviting environment for all of our guests and employees is a top priority for Jack in the Box. The presence of guns inside a restaurant could create an uncomfortable situation for our guests and employees and lead to unintended consequences. While we respect the rights of all our guests, we would prefer that guests not bring their guns inside our restaurants."

IMO Mothers who outright lie and have no morality are a danger on our society. It may be why we have so many lunatics running around because not only did mothers not teach them to be good citizens, they are urine poor role models.

Thanks for the information WW ... I'll keep an eye out for further information.

Right now I busy wrestling with a simple FOIA request with an agency who, for some unknown reason, wants to give me the ability to citizen arrest people.

I took it as a "prefer" vs outright ban as well (so they are now like SBs was before some people decided to go in their establishments.).
Still, I will no longer spend any money there (not that I spent much there to begin with).

Can you imagine the outrage if any of the following were used to fill in the blank:

"Creating a warm and inviting environment for all of our guests and employees is a top priority for Jack in the Cube. The presence of people of colour inside a restaurant could create an uncomfortable situation for our guests and employees and lead to unintended consequences. While we respect the rights of all our guests, we would prefer that guests not bring their coloured skin inside our restaurants." - someone else

The presence of gays inside a restaurant could create an uncomfortable situation for our guests and employees and lead to unintended consequences. While we respect the rights of all our guests, we would prefer that guests not bring their gayness inside our restaurants." - somebody else

I see they moved this to the Texas forum, while the incident was in Texas this is a more national issue as Jack in the Box is in several other states including mine.

I wouldn't necessarily take mhy business elsewhere, they are really trying to walk a line between the 2 sides of people's rights and these socialist bullies that are causing the greif. If I went there I would carry as I normally would, if they choose they can then approach me on their "preference" that I not carry my firearm with me, at which point I would ask if that means I am not welcome there since I am not going to disarm myself at the whim of some crazy women who think that disarming me will deter crimnals. If asked to leave at that point, then I would remove my business from them in the future. They would have enacted a ban at that point.

More to the point, I very rarely get food there and mostly thru the drive up window at that. Same thing with Starbucks, I rarely go there, but the last time I did was recently and I had my gun on me (was meeting a candidate for local office there to give some information relevant to an issue with the office she is running for).

--snipped--
Moved it to the Texas sub-forum because that is where the incident and reaction occurred.

If and when something more definitive occurs elsewhere, then it may become a national issue. Don't want to give it more credibility than it might otherwise deserve.
