Of course government buildings and the like are off limits but I was wondering if there was any local ord. against CONCEALED carry in MO. I have a permit from ME and I was just wondering. I live in Cass Co. by the way.

Oh, are churches off limits?

Thanks

A complete list of the places where CCW is not allowed can be found in the Revised Statutes of Missouri (RSMo.) as posted on the Missouri General Assembly's website, http://www.moga.state.mo.us . Specifically, at http://www.moga.state.mo.us/statutes/C500-599/5710000107.HTM . The list is too long to post here so please check link.

As for churches, RSMo. 571.101.1 (14) states that concealed carry is not allowed in "... Any church or other place of religious worship without the consent of the minister or person or persons representing the religious organization that exercises control over the place of religious worship. Possession of a firearm in a vehicle on the premises shall not be a criminal offense so long as the firearm is not removed from the vehicle or brandished while the vehicle is on the premises; "

Other Missouri weapons laws can be found at http://www.moga.state.mo.us/statutes/c571.htm . Hope this helps.

There are no local ordinances against CCW in general in Missouri as the law states taht a permit shall be good throughout the state. However, may municipalities have adopted a model ordnance by the Missouri Municipal League banning concealed weapons inside buildings owned by the municipality. Most people think of this as just banning carry inside city hall but it can also include such areas as the city sewer plant, the library, city office buildings, civic centers, etc. Fortunately, the state law limits the action that can be taken should you violate such ordnances to simply asking you to leave the premises.
