In a bizarre case of self-reporting, a St. Johns County teen who sped away from a St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office deputy during a traffic stop called 911 an hour later and allegedly confessed by saying he had “ran from a cop.” Eventually the teen, tracked by cell number, 19-year-old Nicholas Carlmann Jones, was arrested and charged with reckless driving, fleeing a law enforcement officer and misuse of 911, according to an arrest report from the Sheriff’s Office.
