I anticipate there will be either no comments, or comments blowing-off how these mid-mid-elections are working out for Republicans, more specifically, tea party 2.0's:

Mobile, Alabama, Bradley Byrne wins over tea party 2.0'r.

N.Y. has had a Republican Mayor for 20 years (RINO, according to some Right-wingers)...no more, there's a member of the Democratic Party at the helm.

Virginia, well, Terry McAuliffe squeaked into the house over Republican Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II...that's sooo sad.

Christie, is retaining the house. Christie is a RINO...lucky decision on his part.

Obviously, these elections speak nothing to the National mood concerning tea party 2.0 *rolls eyes*.

I hope tea party 2.0's (or whatever most of them are transitioning to call themselves these days) are enjoying their fine mid-mid-term dish.

Remember, whether it be hard-Left, or hard-Right, you may gain some ground...until the pendulum swings back towards the CENTER.

Texas is moving Democratic...got a bunch of so-called Liberty Loving tea party 2.0's clinging to Power, but will lose the War. Hopefully the Republican Party doesn't suffer too much damage as Regressives on the fringe-Right (tea party 2.0's, and the like) don't burn down the House out of spite.--actually, I would like to see it go down, and it will...you only appreciate what you have when you lose it.

Then we can get back to the FACT that Liberty Lovers, Freedom Lovers occupy Left, Right, and Center.

Keep-on keep'n-on tea party 2.0's...your not done breaking the Republican Party for the next generation or two, and destroying any chance there may be that a tea party 2.0 type would be on any primary ticket but some middle of nowhere Podunk town packed with Regressives.

Happy Carrying Y'all!

Don't quit your day job because political analysis isn't your expertise.

You seem to gloating and seeking the demise of the "tea party".

Its true that the majority of America isn't supportive of the Tea Party.

Its also true the majority of Americans are idiots and that's why America is in the terrible shape its in.

I predict a significant boost to "republican, tea party, rino, conservative" candidates in 1-3 years when America sees how devastating Obamacare and socialism is.

Hi B-Lady !

It really comes down to knowing where to put your boots on the ground come the day and days before an election.

Not the tea partiers fault for any loss really. Its a GOP cop-out IMO.

Hey, if VA wants to become NY Jr. ... they will be there soon.

Not a reflection on members here; like wacky CT gun laws, no member here supported them and we worked hard ...

No, I don't seem to be, I look forward to the demise of tea party 2.0, period.

Yes, the majority of Americans aren't supportive of the tea party 2.0...and the numbers are growing every day. Hopefully we will see another Government shutdown the beginning of next year...a final stake in tea party 2.0's missing heart?

You can conclude the majority of Americans are idiots, that's your so-called Right. I will conclude that even an idiot knows when they are being fed a bill of goods by a bunch of Regressives...sorry, I mean to say: Compassionate Regressives.

Nah, Obamacare will be liked by the 50,000,000+ that will be hooked into it in the next 1-3 years. Where do you think Republicans are going to get their votes?--Minorities; Gays; Women?--losing on all fronts.

You do realize that there is soon going to be more Minorities in America that Regressive, Heterosexual, White Males, don't you? The Republican Party needs a revamp...they will have one whether they like it or not. Seriously, you think for a second the Republicans are going to get any Minority, or Female votes when they are attacking many of the Social Changes that are leveling the playing field for both of those groups?

Some monkeys ((Republicans) White, Heterosexual, Males--that is what the Republican Party is pretty much made-up of these days) just can't be taught anything new, they have to have it beaten into them...in this case, Politically.

It's a GOP cop-out? Seriously, take a step back, and look at what's going down...refer to my post previous to this one...American is becoming less White, and less Male-centric, period...there's not escaping this Progressively changing fact.

You have a lot of hate inside of you.

You appear to be racist and sexist as well.

You are right about the changing demographics of America.

I'm guessing you have no problems with your own bigotry and hatred.

I don't think heterosexual will every be the minority.

Minorities will always be minorities. The new minority will soon be whites, like they are now in California where they are no longer the majority.

Of course, California is a terrible state so I don't look forward to the changing demographics of America.

I hope one day you find some peace and stop being such a hateful person.

It's never pleasant having to choose between your rights. I ended up registering Republican in the most vicious example of pragmatism my being can offer. In my own mind I've sort of arranged things into a grid:

RepublicanDemocrat
PolicyPolicy
Very successful at enactingGun rights legislation"National security" legislationHealth and safety regulation"National security" legislation
Moderately successful at enactingFree market economicsAnti-LGBT legislationEnvironmental regulationWomen's rights
Not successful at enactingPro-life policiesSchool vouchersSocial safety netsTransgender anti-discrimination protections

There are things I really hate about the Republican party but that they're really bad at. There are things that I would really like about the Democratic party but they're incompetent (read: uninterested) in them. Then there are things I hate about both parties that balance out. All told, the Republican party, despite collectively wishing for me to die of exposure in an alley, do a better job of keeping their promises to me than the Democratic party. If they ever get too uppity I can also take some of these guns they've generously allowed me to have and go take a few of the more troublesome ones with me; an option the Democratic party doesn't afford to me.

Don't hate the player, hate the game ;)

IMO, the fact that McAullife can even stay in a race, let alone win it, shows just how damned we are a nation; the guy is as crooked as the day is long or at least as much as any Clinton.

As for voting in people on the right, well, as long as we have more people on the dole than not, and more people who are stupid than are not, that is not likely to happen.

Say what you want about the TEA party, but the only reason they are not in favor isn't because of message, it is because of the political makeup of this nation. Again, if you are on the dole, making more money on average than someone who works, you are not interested in lowering the taxes of the people who pay your bills nor are you interested in a job.

No worries, keep voting in these nation killers and at some point the workers of this nation are going to find that it is not in their best interest to keep doing so and when that happens the takers will stop getting checks, that is when the SHTF, just ask Greece. And for those of you that think that we cannot end up like Greece, just wait. We may not have a national collapse etc, but if the welfare recipients have to take smaller checks etc, you will see the SHTF.

Cuccinelli lost because he's a Tea Party extremist who wants to rule Virginia using the bible as his law book. The fact that even Republican Virginia has turned against such radical anti-constitutionalists as Cuccinelli is a great sign.

The best part, now that McAuliffe won, is that all the Virginia tea partiers have to get gay married and eat birth control pills.
Because that’s how it works./s

Voter turn out was not good .. not even at 50% ... but 33% on off year elections seems the norm.

Don't like McAuliffe, one can still remove him from office.
