The subject of this was one of the first to put his hand in his pocket for me, so I've put my hand in my pocket for him.

peter nap to have surgery today (10/1/15)

Contact info re: surgery

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center

Mechanicsville, VA 23116

patient info @ (804) 764-6449

My guess is that he will spend most of today (Thurs 10/1/15) in recovery and then ICU. Don't let that stop you from calling to get updates on his condition.

While I am sure peter nap would be touched beyond belief to get cards and flowers and such, I urge you to consider putting at least some of the money you would spend into the GoFundMe kettle.

stay safe.

update

Hopefully they aren't going to keep me tonight Grapeshot. I think I'm scheduled for the outpatient surgery building.
This has a 50% chance of a temporary fix, which would be great to eat again.

Same-day surgery is good news.

Even a temporary fix will be good for someone who has not had anything more solid than watery mashed potatoes for the last several months.

Since you won't have time to send flowers and balloons you can think about putting something in the GoFundMe kettle. http://www.gofundme.com/ha477x2s

stay safe.

Done and Done

He's done and back at home. Reportedly they cleaned out and then opened his esophagus up to 8 cm. No, they did not use one of these http://zipitclean.com/ .

48 hours to find out if the procedure worked. Then time to get his system used to real food again.

stay safe.
