Quote:
RESTRICTIONS ON POSSESSION, TRANSPORATION, AND TRANSFER OF DANGEROUS WEAPONS AND SUBSTANCES
Effective at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, the transportation or possession, or the sale or purchase of dangerous weapons or substances, while off one’s own premises, is prohibited. This prohibition and restriction does not apply to lawfully possessed firearms or ammunition.

Unquote.

Alas, the legitimate question arises, why on earth would a Sacto CA ‘grassroots’ entity wave the flag over this declaration by this NC Mayor instead of say the infamous Paul Valone’s ‘GRASS ROOTS NC?

That the Sacto CA group discerned this W A Y before the hurricane/typhoon hit and didn’t seek injunctions says a lot, cuz at the moment everyone is a tad busy dealing with said disasters aren’t they!

ps: since the newspeek did not provide a verbatim of the emergency order THEY might have misinterpreted it.

This prohibition and restriction does not apply to lawfully possessed firearms or ammunition.

Forgive my oversight of forum protocols:

[FONT=&quot]Upon the possession, transportation, sale, purchase, storage, and use of gasoline, and dangerous weapons and substances, except that this subdivision does not authorize prohibitions or restrictions on lawfully possessed firearms or ammunition. As used in this subdivision, the term "dangerous weapons and substances" has the same meaning as it does under G.S. 14-288.1.[added: statute on riots & references an other statute whose clause does not exist] As used in this subdivision, the term "firearm" has the same meaning as it does under G.S. 14-409.39(2) [added: defines firearms ~ who whould have thought this state’s citizens needed a statute to define a ‘handgun’ as short barrell capable of being shot while held in the hand!]

Ms Beth Purdue, past Gov lost that battle in NC SC on re restricted firearm carry during states of emergency by NC citizens.
