What are you smoking? There's "gun grabs" and there's "attempted gun grabs" and even if it isn't successful that doesn't mean you don't need to worry. A "gun grab" would mean that the person was successful in taking control of the gun. From what I've seen in this thread there's no definitive answer on if he grabbed the gun and gained control, the gun was picked up by someone else, or what.
No, that's not accurate. EVERY single example I have been able to locate has been labeled as an attempted gun grab by someone on these forums. Even if the perp DID temporarily have control of the firearm, because he was unable to maintain the firearm and shoot someone, it was only considered an attempted grab. Personally, if the perp GETS control of the gun (even momentarily) I see it as a successful gun grab.
And for the background on my 'not worry' comment you'd have to see another thread where basically I'm being ridiculed for even being concerned about the risk as the forum members seem to say that TRUE gun grabs just don't happen . . . . . hence my purpose is trying to understand the definitions that this group uses.
As I'm learning, it seems that I should be concerned about attempted gun grabs but not actual gun grabs . . . . hence. . . . SEMANTICS!
