Hay y'all I'll be passing throughTennessee (on the 40) in July when I move to Oklahoma City.

My VA CWP is valid so I'm good there however ifI read correctly and am not as tired as I feel I am. OC isby permit and in your vehicle only ifI understand things correctly. I was under the impression it was OK other places but I wanted to check with y'all to be sure and also where its legal and same goes for CC'ing. I'll be driving alone and stopping for gas and rest stop pit stops and sleep in my truck ifI need it.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Your VA permit is good in Tn for CC or OC. Either way is by permit only and you can carry, on your person,in your vehicle. No difference in where you can carry in regards to CC/OC.

Places where you can't carry:

Businesses also have the right to bar firearms, but I havne't seen much of that inn my neck of the woods (west of Nashville)

After July 14 we'll be able to carry with a permit in restaraunts that serve alcohol, unless otherwise posted by the owners.

Enjoy your trip through our state.

Thanks for the info. I've beenmore concerned with what holsterI should use for my trip. Most likely my paddle given the 1300 mile drive and being comfertable.

I wasn't sure if I would have had to CC if I got out to use the bathroom at a rest stop and whenI got gas. Gotta love the drive throughs though. Makes things easy in that aspect.
