I dunno guys. I'm getting kinda tired of the flesh eating zombie stuff. Kinda like shooting fish in a barrel. What you think of District 9?: Alien's deprived of their rights, herded together, beaten, deperived of their weapons and technology. Reminded me of Open Carriers kinda.
No movies this weekend. Holiday weekend. I'll resume my hunt for optic enrichment next week.

District 9 was good, but the aliens didn't have control of their own weapons. The story, of course, was all about apartheid.

BTW, OCr's don't have it that bad. Please stop with the comparisons; I don't want to foster a world-hates-me martyr attitude likecertain government employeeshave. When they start putting you into camps then you can take this line.

Agreed Tomahawk. My kid showed me the online videos of the camps FEMA has waiting for us nation wide now. Scary thought: The train rails go in. Do they come out?

Spent the day on the History Channel. First it was about the Florida gangs, then there was an interesting show about field researchers searching for Jesse James buried treasure. I noted they were Open Carrying.

You sure they weren't some sort of LEOs? Park rangers, maybe?

Think so - they all had gold badges at their belts.

My list for actual pro-gun movies:

And some will overlap with others' lists:

Matrix
Red Dawn

Jericho (not a mnovie, but the TV show presented why we need guns)

Red Scorpion (must fight socialist tyranny)

I had zombie movies here but I'll refrain.

Equilibrium

Leon (the Professional, may be a stretch for some, but the state overstepped its legal boundaries)

The Patriot

Punisher (the 2004 version where they show an entire extended family wiped out by gangsters)

The Postman

The Brave One (bless this movie, I understand what Tomahawk is saying about the movie but I don't agree that the philosophy fits this movie, if it were even subtly anti-gun, it would have ended a little bit differently)

Maximum Overdrive (I shutter at the movie's premise, but, you never know when you'll have to defend your self a against killer trucks, you can't exactly talk them down)

The Alamo

jeeze, this is harder than I thought

Loved it. Jericho was "Red Dawn" for the post-Cold War era, where our own neighbors and government are just as much of a threat as the Rooskie/Cuban coalition, and where good guys/bad guys can't be identified by their passports, nor even personal friendships.

I get interested in a TV show once every 2-3 years. Without fail, about the time I get caught up in it, it gets canceled. So long, Jericho!

No offense but if you remove a driver to shoot, stopping a tractor trailer with a ar-15 is near impossible. Maybe you hit something that will stop it eventually. Some more modern units have auto-inflation (like an H1) designed to help with fuel economy by keeping all tires inflated to the best pressure for current weight etc. They are still capable of keeping a tire inflated that has been punctured. Many bullets will bounce off of a big rigs tires. Even some rifle rounds. The cooling system, unless it is extremely hot, or you are pulling a load uphill as fast as possible, aren't necessary on flatish ground. They can even operate (at reduced power) with destroyed turbos. A few older models can even continue to operate with no electrical system.

YES, you nailed it. Jericho ( my favorite tv show ever:D ) absolutely showed why Americans should be armed. cuz after the crapola hits the fan , the Gobernment sanctioned private police forces , Mercenaries ( Ze , armour group, triple canopy, etc ) will be out looting you goods, disarming the sheeple that don't stand up & imposing their will on those that allow it. But, i DID like the ravenwood guys...well armed mudder chuckers <<< will be the guys telling you what to do after the SHTF...if you allow it.

I hoped someone else saw that show. It reflected alots of doomsday scenarios people have written about. Regardless of what caused the doomsday event, you and your family are now on their own. What do you do?
