What, and run the chance they wont get a socialist? :D

I read this somewhere...

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." - Norman Mattoon Thomas - 1944 Speech

Yes, well, remember that quite a bit of the population of California is not...strictly speaking...from America.

When your from a country that takes everything but promises nothing in return, your more than happy to move to a state that promises to give you almost everything, regardless if your able or willing to contribute for it.

I don't think "liberalism" is the foremost thing that many of those people are voting for.

Now, your quote may hold true here in Washington, but I doubt it for about half the "democrats" in Cali.

California AB 962 tossed

California Ammunition Ban ruled unconstitutional: http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Read.aspx?ID=6128

"Tuesday, January 18, 2011

In an important victory for California gun owners, the Fresno Superior Court ruled today that California's new ammunition regulation law is unconstitutional, and blocked further enforcement.

The law, passed last year as AB 962, would have banned mail order ammunition sales and required all purchases of so called “handgun ammunition” to be registered. In an unwritten ruling from the bench, Judge Jeffrey Hamilton found the law unconstitutionally vague on its face and issued an injunction against its enforcement. For now, at least, mail order ammunition sales to California residents can continue, and ammunition sales need not be registered under the law."

Good news. Hopefully in light of Heller and McDonald this will stick in the appellate courts. It is California though so I won't hold my breath.

Yeah, the Chinese in SF vote democrat, but are anything but "liberal". No matter how you define the word. Conservative doesn't quite go far enough, either.

You do have to remember that the 9th Circuit came down with a favorable 2A ruling that incorporated it to all States within it's jurisdiction. Maybe they were having an "off" day.

As in off their meds and thus able to think clearly? It was a state court that made the ruling so it will have to go up the California appeals chain first but I suppose it's possible it could eventually land with the same 9th Circus panel.

"Constitutionally Vague"?

The judge struck down this piece of legislation as "Constitutionally Vague", so the gun-grabbers will simply take it back to their cave and massage it around until they can come up with something that might pass. This isn't going anywhere. It'll rear it's ugly face under a different name very soon.

Of that, I have no doubt. They don't even have the false barrier of a sham Republican Governor to hinder such proposals now.
