Thought it might be interesting to those of you in the forces

Snip:
FORT GORDON, Ga. — The Army wants to issue every soldier an iPhone or Android cellphone — it could be a soldier's choice.
And to top it off, the Army wants to pay your monthly phone bill.

To most soldiers, it sounds almost too good to be true, but it's real, said Lt. Gen. Michael Vane, director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC). He said the Army would issue these smartphones just like any other piece of equipment a soldier receives.

problems:

1. easy way to monitor soldier communication at all times.

2. easy way to spend more money in a wasteful manner.

Wow...pretty amazing that our Constitution does not provide for a standing army of any kind, and now we are considering distributing "smart phones" (paid for with money stolen from hard-working Americans, mind you) to the employees of the biggest government program of them all, spread across every continent.
