I received my CPL from Edmonds PD today. One day shy of three weeks. Not bad!

I found this Dave Workman article after I got the license. Is the new license still planned? I received the standard, far-too-large paper license that I now need to trim and laminate. I suppose there are greater hardships in life :)

Who knows when the new license will be everywhere. Moving at the speed of government. I think the individual departments have to buy the new equipment so I don't see it happening all that fast. Funny thing is that some of the smaller town departments have it but the big cities are too cheap.

Bummer. I was hoping I could just renew after 6-12 months and get a properly-sized license. Maybe the municipality we buy a house in will have the new license, and I can renew there.

I know what you mean. I was disappointed when KCSO handed me the old style license when I last renewed. The only upside was that it took be about 20 minutes from applying for a renewal to receiving the new license.

Since I will now be out-of-state renewing at this next renewal, does anyone know a county in which they are handing out the newer design?
