CMP rifles - Anyone ever ordered?

Another thing to remember is that VCDL satisfies the requirement to be a member of a CMP Affiliated Organization.

a CHP or a C&R qualifies as a "firearms related activity".

I ordered an M1 around late March (?) and on 22 May received an "We regret that we will not be able to fill the order that you submitted" e-mail. Anyway, I kept the order active, and this week was blessed to receive a rack grade Greek. :cool:

CMP came through for me. God Bless 'em. :D

I'm a total M1 neophyte (newbie), so any comments, observations, info, opinions, pointers, and so on (on the rifle or on resources for learning) are welcomed!

A little Google with the SN tells me the born-on date is November 1943:
