I cant get any strait answers out of any local law enforcement.
I am shocked, you mean you couldn't find even one that wouldn't
tell you you will go to jail? Maybe things are improving.
Rule of thumb, if you catch ACORN erase tape or face the consequences.
Your criminal activity may vary..... Video vs audio seem to be treated
differently, Maryland is illegal for audio but ok for video:banghead::banghead:
But who in there right mind goes there anyways.
I have been told 5 times now I am committing a crime,
haven't been charged yet. What I did is disable the off switch,
then gleefully turn it off to appease the officer. Just like the
detective does in his half of Don't Talk to Police.
It works just as well for our side.
Only problem I can see is if they remove me from my car with my objections
on tape, and then record themselves while I am kept away under color of law.
Can they charge me with receiving the product of their criminal activity,
after all they had GUNS, and planted the evidence in my car over my objections.
At what point does it become a criminal tape?
I have no direct knowledge that they said anything while I am being detained
back at the squad car, so have no knowledge of a crime being committed.:uhoh:
There is only one major danger, and thank god the camera was off,
a little ~3 year old was crossing in front of me saw the camera, and pulled her
dress over her head. It was a
Tots Gone Wild moment, LMAO and was oh so
glad the camera was off for that one in todays climate. So I feel safer without
the video, and prefer audio. I do want to add video covering the doors
when I change to electronic entry, it would only engage when the keys are used
to try and gain entry. Want the look on cops face when he can't get in to search
without permission. But that is just for personnel use to get a good laugh,
unless I require stitches that is.:X
There are some great youtube videos in KC I think of a man with camera
getting harassed constantly at checkpoints, and parking lots. Has it behind
his seat so it shows the dash display as well, I love the one showing his turn
signal flashing and later the cop threatening to charge him with weaving
and failure to use his signals. Sad he needs to go to that extent just to protect
himself, the locals must really have it in for him.
