I disagree that Romney is middle of the road. Not unless the roadbed shifted sideways onto a foundation of tyranny.

Romney will sign into law every single bill that erodes freedom. Patriot Act, NDAA--any new or updated version. He already gave his state Obamacare. He's not going to roll it back federally. Especially if congress gets its back scratched by the special interests. He's interested in his own skin and power, not the direction of the country.

Just recently I saw his ads for this and that promising to effect new jobs. Meanwhile, he carefully omits any mention of getting the Federal Reserve under control. He's an elitist and his self-interested operations will simply continue the destruction perpetrated by his ilk over the last forty years.
You could have saved yourself a lot of typing by simply saying "Romney is a politician." ;) They all vacillate with their talking points in order to mollify (whatever they believe) the majority of their audience of the hour wants to hear. As I said once before - professional politics is a profession of deceit. It always has been and there's no change in sight. We need to get all the "professionals" out of government. Pax...

I don't even read his posts anymore. When someone feels compelled to use highlight/graphic methods over vocabulary for the communication of ideas, they likely don't have anything intelligent to contribute.

This is the first one of your posts I've pulled up in months. Like you, I have the right to choose whose posts I read. The "use" to which you refer above is called emphasis. Whoever doesn't get that likely lacks the intelligence to understand the contribution. Some folks emphasize certain words by shifting to all caps, but nobody whines about that. If it's a mortal sin to use such things, then we shouldn't have that option available - other than the fact it would be considered unnecessarily restrictive (and/or censorship) by some. (I shall now return you to my ignore list, but don't take it personally - you are not alone there.) :D Pax...

Very simple, in this election it's to keep Obama from a second term.

Obama is the biggest dingle berry of the two, and the greater threat to our freedom. Obama cringes at the words "Bill of rights", the man despises America. People say he's a poor leader, I say he's failures are by design; he's transforming. A weakened state would surly make the final stages easier. An obedient and dependant nation is his goal. That's why you should not vote for Obama, and for Romney.

IMO, neither Obummer nor Romney is a prize, and Gary Johnson is merely a spoiler in this particular election. In 2016, Johnson may be a viable candidate - if he increases his name recognition about one-thousand fold. Obummer has had his shot, and it missed the American target completely. He can't run on his record... simply because it is abysmal!

As I see it, this election is about ousting a failure and giving somebody else a chance. Ideally, Romney would drop out of the race and encourage his supporters to vote for Gary Johnson. But, that "ain't gonna happen". It would be too little too late, and undoubtedly assure Obummer an undeserved victory. Besides, Romney didn't give anybody a free phone - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpAOwJvTOio - so why should he be president? The "gimmes" (the dead, and cartoon characters) will certainly vote to keep Obama in office - and they will each probably vote several times. Pax...

P.S. Getting back to the topic of this thread - hooda ever thunk a politishun would LIE to us?

The most effective way to do that would be for those who reject the two socialists to actually vote their conscience this election.

Because you're more knowledgeable about the constitution than they are?
Please, do tell.

[gong!] Appeal to authority. Bad tactic. Especially when appealing to the scholarly authority of a costumed government lawyer. Obama used to be a constitutional law professor or some such, for pete's sake.

No, no. Its a much better tactic to demolish your opponent's arguments with logic and facts. Of course, with Beretta92 you don't even have to do that. Just stay silent and shortly she'll contradict herself or make some stunningly unthinking remark.
