I've seen no credible report that 594 is even collecting signatures right now, I've seen no one holding a petition, no press releases on their websites, no credible reports. I'll bet you Stumbo and her friends are perhaps the only people who've signed it at this time.

Nobody has signed it... They can't yet. They were waiting on the signature pages when the suit was filed. Today we will be able to see what is what.

My wife and I were just walking from the Edmonds beach back to the car when two men with clipboards asked us if we'd sign a petition to require background checks for all gun sales. Sadly, we had just had dinner at Rory's, so I wasn't carrying. I told them I thought background checks for any gun sale were BS, so no, I wouldn't sign their petition. I was going to explain to them why background checks are unconstitutional and a gross affront to liberty, but my wife wanted to go home, so I left them with shock on their faces and walked away. These types are so certain that everything they think is not only right, but blindingly obvious, that they're astonished when they encounter rational people in the real world.

Anyway, they're actively collecting signatures. Anyone in the area want to stand in the exact same place and collect 591 signatures with me?

I say "sure" and they'll hand you all their completed forms with the top one with lines available. Then run away with the stuff. Suckers....

Politics, Chicago style. Deal with it.

I was at a bus stop in downtown Seattle after work. Someone was walking through the crowd trying to get signatures. Didn't see anyone signing it I have him a not so polite "Hell no" when he asked me. This guy was obviously a paid signature collector, probably from one of the local missions. Is that even legal?
