I live in a good, middle class neighborhood (that does have a lot of rental properties. Old tobacco money bought multiple properties for investment) with an upscale country club down the road. People jog and walk the streets constantly. Last year, superbowl Sunday, someone got into our car and stole the DVD players we had for the kids and some other small stuff. A few days later I had some strange people show up on my doorstep for a few different reasons. Got the hairs on the back of my neck up. Called the police to report everything and was told that there really wasnt anything they could do. Which I knew before calling. Now with the latest crap next door, I cant tell you how relieved I am to be able to protect myself and my family if needed. I hope to God it never comes to that but knowing my husband (former military) has his rifle and I have my Bersa goes a long way to peace of mind.
