Where does it say you can transport a dagger in a vehicle at all? You can carry a dagger openly, but you can not transport them in any manner in a vehicle. Or did I miss that part.

Eerily familiar to the requirements to pistols. That's why I cited it. This is the manual that is used in MICOLES training. It is a compilation of laws, jury instructions, and court cases, and forms.

I wonder how all those history re-enactors transport them to fairs and shows???

Interesting, It's certainly not in the statute. Only pistols are covered in regards to transport in that statute.
