Barring anything coming up last minute, I can make it. I don't know how to cook or prepare anything worth sharing so I'll be more than happy to bring beverages and misc. like cups, plates, napkins etc.

Welcome to the forum. Spend some time reading through this forum and you will gain a lot of knowledge on the subject. I would also suggest you print off the Nevada (Open) Carry Pamphlet stickied at the top of the list.
As you have read, we will be having an OC get together at Morrell Park in Henderson on the 29th and we would be happy to have you and yours join us.
If you have any direct questions, this is the place to ask them. There are some very knowledgeable people on here that can answer them for you.
I would also suggest you join the NV Firearms Coalition at NVFAC.org to help defend your firearms rights in the state of NV.

Got my schedule for Saturday. I and may be a non-posting OCer friend will be there. Have to leave around 2 pm. Still Morrell Park in Henderson correct? Taking Major Ave east off Boulder Hwy? Is it under the Yellow rectangle cover or the green hexagon shaped cover? I realize it will be obvious when I get there just curious.
