Starbucks played the long game. The only reason they pretended to allow OC was so they could throw us all out and make a big scene about it down the road. Which they have no done. They're trash.
They're blatant left-fringe wack-a-dos. If you didn't see this coming, well.... Yeah...
You fell for it.
While I've been aware of their political leanings for a long time, they were at least making a sound business decision by respecting local and state laws. As they've made a number of highly successful business decisions in the past, I really didn't think they'd fall for the Bloomberg/MDA nonsense and go full retard.
You're absolutely right, however, by saying "which they have now done." In fact, the very same thing was reported in today's news,
courtesy of Forbes:
"Target. Chipotle. Sonic. Chili’s Grill & Bar. Jack in the Box. Starbucks. Each time gun safety groups Moms Demand Action and new partner Everytown For Gun Safety have taken on a retail or restaurant chain in recent months, they've been successful."
Definitely
not "this crap 'again'," people. New move for Starbucks.
Statements like, "So far, over 100,000 people have signed Everytown’s petition" tend to cause retailers to gasp and change their policies. The best way to counter such foolish behavior is with objective information, including polls which indicate more than 80% of Americans fully support the right to keep and bear arms, that so-called "gun-free zones" are very dangerous magnets for criminal and criminally insane activity, and that the presence of armed, law-abiding citizens significantly and measurably reduce crime, whether they're in a coffee shop, a department store, a neighborhood, city, state, or nation. The size of their locale doesn't matter. What matters is that criminals abhor armed citizens, and will either go elsewhere or get a job.
