Some so-called "gun guys" are "gun for me guys" and unfortunately that includes some LEOs, some NRA members, some gun professionals. Call it what you want - psychological, selfish/immature, desire to prove themselves, sometimes even a bit lacking upstairs.

They don't care if anyone else can have the same rights they do. Just themselves and probably a few buddies. And as these people age, obviously they face their own mortality. They aren't going to have a firearm forever, so that's it. What does the 2nd amendment matter to them?

Very dangerous people in all respects - gun rights and all other rights and freedoms. Maybe physically dangerous too - selfish people are apt to take rash actions and be dishonest and careless, not a good combination. All gun safety rules, and self defense rules, are based on people who are honest and care somewhat about others. I don't feel safe around people like that.

I believe the proper term for these types is FUDD.

We all know that there are only two ways to get rid of the second amendment. And, we all know those two methods could result in something that nobody wants. That leaves tinkering with enacting unconstitutional laws. I really believe that the antis know that if they push to hard it won't end well for them. But, I also believe many of the antis are naive enough to not understand what would, not could, happen even if the second amendment disappeared. Because it would not change anything. These antis keep forgetting the ninth amendment retains the the right to keep and bear arms.

Here's my blog post with video of NRA member Mike "the gun guy" Weisser talking about how we have no right to own guns & that he's OK with banning guns.

Excellent example of how even complete blithering idiots can join most groups and still know little to nothing about that for which those groups stand.

Actually reading Ammoland's totally unbiased article (sarcasm off) by Mr. Wolfe, i find it quite interesting to note the cherry picking to make Mr. Wolfe's commentary against Mr. Weisser fit his article.

You, as always are free to make your own critical assessment of Mr. Wolfe's article, but i guess i am missing the point of Ammoland allowing a full blown character assassination of Mr. Weisser!

Such would be a serious violation of our Forum Rules.

I never heard of this Mike Weisser guy. Based on that, he carries no cred with me. But, if this article is true and this is Weisser's views, he is peddling revisionist history and as to federal tax history he is a flaming idiot. And, yes I would say it to his face.

Weisser often writes some very anti gun posts for anti gun media outlets. Check out the articles about him on the Truth About Guns.
