Taurus .357- Taurus revolvers have worked well for me and their quality is good. The Tracker weights 28oz and is a practical shooter as well.

MAKAROV!- A family favorite. One of the best freaking pistols ever made. Like a Walther PPK but way better.

That's all I can think of. Both of those guns are under 400 bucks.
