She has some sort of bipolar or scitzophrenia probably. I know a lady with bipolar who can really get rediculous and in your face over stupid things. However she is aware of her condition and does try to not get out of control if she has an episode. She thanked me one time for pointing out her behavior to her, she wants people who know her to let her know when she is getting too out there. Her behavior has never bothered me though, she would get all nutty and I'd do it right back and then we would both laugh. But she has changed . I don't see or hear from her too often anymore, soI think she either keeps herself rediculously busy, or she gets alot of withdrawn depressive episodes and doesn't want to see/talk to anyone. Meds don't seem to do much for her I guess.

I see ads all the time for bipolar meds (why are they advertising these things on TV?? Yeesh.) that say things like "reduces incidence of manic episodes". Crimeney, the "Manic" part is the fun part. But they have antidepressants, too; but those almost always have a warning of a side effect of "suicidal tendencies"; which I always though of as a big hazard of, well, depression. And for that matter there's an asthma med out there that has a possible "increased risk of asthma-related death". :what: Anyway.

I probably would have given her a Clint-Eastwood stylle nod and ignored her as far as possible. I've found that when you start talking to a nut you only encourage them. Let the management take care of her or walk away.

You're more civil than I am. My response would have gone something like this:

Me: "Are you a prostitute?"

Woman (deeply offended): "Of course not!"

Me: "Then why are you wearing lipstick and high heels?"
That ought to get her attention. Unless, of course, she no longer likes to look like a woman.

Yeah, that wouldn't work onsomeone like butch-looking Rachel Maddow: Liberal-socialist "progressive" political views on the inside and 100% physically unattractive on the outside. A typical NOW member poster-child if you will!

And sheprobably doesn't evenOWN any lipstick or high heels.

Ugh...my eyes hurt!

You mean like the piece of crap in usenet who told me that women shouldn't be allowed to carry guns for self-defense because he was afraid that he'd be "mistaken for a rapist and shot"? My reply:

"How is it that you act around women that you'd be mistaken for a rapist? Put down that butcher knife, pull up your pants and you'll be just fine."

He REALLY didn't like me... especially when I thereafter referred to him as "the rapists' pal".
Doeshe was wear these?

Come on now you need to be more civil at times....
"No mam, if I was I would be citing you for disturbing the peace." :what:
Now when she comes up to you the second time, then you decline
her professional services.

See a voice recorder would have been more than enough to get her
charged with impersonating. Wouldn't the DA love to have to charge the
unarmed crook and defend the carrying citizen.

Dealing with wackjobs is one of the pitfalls of OC. You just never know where you'll run into one, and it sucks when you're just trying to eat your lunch and some nimrod is dialing their cellphone while giving you the stink-eye, or worse, is getting in your face about it.

And if the wackjob is a cop, you could get danbusted.Or worse, if he's a real wackjob, you could get bro-tazed or shot!

But the fact that this rarely happens is not only pleasant but also a good sign that OC does not upset the average person.

It is a good argument for Alaska-style carry, though, so you can just CC when you want to avoid the hassle.
Most of my negative OC encounters have been close to areas frequented by travelers... andI can only assume that they 'were' travelers. Fortunately... there's been no whack-job cop encounters in AZ that I've experienced... butI stay outta Phoenix-metro other than the Sky Harbor airport. I don't engage these anti-gungoofs in conversation... It's like feeding them. There's also the off-chance that they'll go into some kind'a hysterics that you might have to explain (since you're the one with the gun).

And that's why I have the recorder on anytime I go somewhere like that...

I don't even open carry and I've run into nutjobs.

I was once eating breakfast in a Lakewood, OH McDonalds while doing my laundry when I encountered one.

As usual, I was wearing my NRA ballcap and carrying several Collector Grade books.  An elderly cleaner started giving me crap about wearing an NRA ballcap, and declaring that the NRA should be BANNED.  I noted that the last time people started banning organizations, we somehow misplaced 6,000,000 Jews.  He responded that he wasn't sure that was such a bad thing.

In a "nut" shell you have the mindset of the anti-gunners.

Oh so that's why the JPFO exists. :quirky

Definitely one reason. In my personal experience a lot of anti-gunners aren't afraid of guns, they're afraid of people of different races, ethnicities, and religions with guns.

That movie was really bad. I'm ashamed to admit I laughed at it.

Not the worst movie ever, though, as IMDB would have you think.

As you know in the former Soviet Union, the auto industry was controlled and run by the government (need we have a better reason not to do this?). They produced a car called the Lada. Rumor (humor) has it the car came with several pairs of gloves. Why, you ask? Do that when it crapped out on the owner in the winter, you could pass the gloves out to people so their hands wouldn't freeze while they were helping to push the thing off of the road.
