Hi everyone, I'm new here. I'm 23 years old and have lawfully owned a pistol since I was 21 and old enough to purchase one. I live in Holt and work in East Lansing at MSU's campus. I just started reading all of this and it makes perfect sense after analyzing the laws a little bit that it is legal to carry openly and responsibly. I'm planning on obtaining my CPL this summer so that I have that option and can always carry my pistol with me wherever I go. I think a lot of you are exemplary citizens for researching this and taking the time to fight for our rights here in Michigan. If there are any Open Carry events please let me know as I'd be interested in attending.
I have a couple questions from reading several posts which I will post seperately to keep relevant topics within each post. I'm glad I found this place, and hope to be welcome here.
I have a Springfield XD .40 V-10 (ported) and have never open carried, but would like to now that I know it's legal to do so outside of the no-pistol-zones until I get my CPL. Thanks so much for being active on this site and being law obiding, gun carrying citizens.
