Hey! So, being done with work for the summer, I am returning to Arizona for school by car. Along the way I have carried in Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada. From Rest Areas to gas stations, restaurants and motels -- I have had my Springfield XD .45 strapped to my side with no interference and few questions from anyone. I have a summary of places and cities below:
KFC, La Grande, Oregon: someone thought I was a cop and wondered if what I was doing was legal. He was eyeing me nervously as me and my travel companion walked back to the car. Positive encounter and referred him here for questions on carry in Oregon and thanked me for my input.
Twin Falls, Idaho: KOA Campground and Shoshone Falls Park -- (operated by City of Twin Falls). Not so much as a peep from anyone.
Henderson/Las Vegas, Nevada: I am currently staying at the Fiesta Henderson and have carried throughout the hotel and casino. Security saw me and hasn't bothered me either way. I did see a Lincoln County Sheriff at a gas station on my drive south, he glanced down towards my side and didn't even flinch. We simply said: "Hi how are you, doing well" and that was that.
