See, there's a few issues here and acouple of myths busted...
Myth #1: all legal gun owners are law abiding citizens
I have never read anyone posting that in over three years of forum membership. You are exaggerating and fabricating information for the purposes of trying to "win" a argument and areattemping to make the rest of the forum membership feel stupid.
You have failed again.
Myth #2:it's unpossible for someone to grab your weapon from you when OCing
Reality: it's really not that hard at all, especially in a crowded area, retention holster be damned - if I really want it, I'll break that holster into a million pieces. Yea, I know YOU'RE superman, and it could never happen to you, I'm talkingabout everyone else.
:quirky
Firstly, unpossible is not a word in the English language. Please cease from using it repeatedly.
Second, you obviously have a lack of knowledge of the concept of retension and have completely failed to take into account the concept ofsituational awareness, which is paramount for anyone wishing to participate in the open carriage of firearms...
I have personally witnessed more than onepolice officer that did not know how to operatesimple retension holsters such as theBlackhawk Serpa. You are giving criminals too much credit and I think you are painting yourselfasthe mall ninja type you ridiculewhen you describe what you can do and what you would do.
I would love to see you try it on someone so I could get a good laugh out of it.
The biggest issue worth mentioning, is the mentality that all too many mall ninjas here have. I'm talking to you, the douche canoe with the handcuffs, and you,Mr. 18 backupweapons, 7 knives, and a portable jailcell - there's a bunch of you around here.
Such as whom? Why can't you ever provide any examples in your posts? That is a very broad brush you are using to describe many of the thousands that frequent this forum.
As was said, this guy was obviously looking to lay down his own law and ended up getting more than he bargained for. You want to lay down the law? Become a cop, they'll take anyone.
Again, something you know littleto nothingabout. I doubt you have any concept of the police recruitment process, nor the challenges and daily concerns of doing the job that officers do for their communities. Your stereotypes and broad generalizations are unhelpful, untrue, and are full of rhetoric.
You want to play tacticool ninja? Join the military, they'll take anyone too.
Again, you are obviously completely unknowledgable and have evidentlynot gone through that process. Our soldiers, airman, seaman, Marines, and Coast Guardsman that are risking themselves everyday to defend your liberty and ask nothing in return deserve better than your petty criticisms.
Aside from that, your gun is for self defense, nothing more.
Why limit yourself by choice?
Maybe that is the case for YOUR gun but this is not even close to true for many of the tens ofmillions of gun owners in this country and your personal mentality against any usage other than what you believe it is to be used foris tantamount to not understanding the Second Amendment, much less understand what liberty is...
How do you explain not being able to have a gunfortarget shooting, plinking, political reasons, competition, training, defending your family, home, property, friends, neighborhood, community, state, country,or just because you damn well feel like it?
I own and carry for those reasons and my personal defense it only the tip of the iceberg.
It's not there to prevent crime, enforce the law, make you feel cool/special/badass, impress the ladies, or make you superior to anyone else.
Statistically, millions use it every year to prevent crimes. Many use it to enforce the laws, particularly if they are employed to do so. Perhaps some ladies would be impressed, perhaps not. What's it to you?
You are correct about that last statement. As Sam Colt explained, guns are an equalizer.
If you feel the need to become a vigilantly when you strap on that pos Glock,
By your logic, defending your home that is being invaded would be vigilanty work. Additionally, the Glock Pistol is not a "POS" and further proves your complete lack of knowledge of the firearms in question. Mine have never failed and are very accurate. They eat everything, are durable, handle extreme weather conditions, and have earned my trust and the trust of millions of others in the world.
I would go as far to say thatI doubt you have much experience with them and are more concerned about what is consideredasthetically pleasing ratherthan functional or practical.
then do us all a favor and stay home, or, better yet, sell all your guns and start shooting roids with the rest of the jackasses atthe gym.
I think if we took a forum poll, you would realize that most of the forum membership wishes you would do exactly that. That would be in addition to taking a permanent absence from this forum.
That'll make you feel badass without allowing you to make us all look bad and get our rights further restricted.
After reading many of your posts, it is not difficult to come to a disturbingconclusion. If you had it your way, we all would have our rights infinitely restricted more than they are now.
