First and LAST time flyer I assume ... lol
I have been bounced around so many plane cabins with those cheap (lowest bid) military aircraft ... it does not bother me anymore. At least your in a proper seat .... quit complaining.
I had one pilot of a KC-135 say to me, "we're going to crash land". Knowing that these planes are not unknown for doing that (due to age) I just said .. OK, get a get a good view in the cockpit? It wasn't the first time a pilot told me "we're going down" .. its a joke some like to play..had 4 or 5 crew members tell me this. Sometimes not a joke though .. about 25% of the planes I took pics of went splat since I took the pics.
In WWII the survival rate for a B17 crew was not something to hope on....at least not in the beginning of the war before we had air superiority and fighter escorts that could cover them. I knew several B17 crew members who survived the war ~ they generally did not people complaining about little inconveniences in life .. all were a riot to speak to... "Yeah, Johnny had his legs blown clean off! Got my uniform dirty." like its nothing.
