For those that might not have or dont want to access facebook:

Travis Youngblood > Ken Cuccinelli
Start the video at 5:20. I was there that night. You lied to my face. Now you owe us all an explanation...

Ken Cuccinelli > Travis, i didnt lie to you or anyone else. However, i did get the law wrong. My statement was based on an error in my own recollection about the bill i voted for years ago that preempted localities from introducing gun ordinances except as allowed by the general assembly. i thought that bill covered all state government entities as well as localities. i clearly remembered that wrong. i think the bill passed four (approximately) years before this q&a. sorry, i got the law wrong in that instance.
Now that the GMU case is over, I look forward to getting back to a VCDL meeting in the near future to discuss the subject.

I was there that night too, in fact, I think it might have been me who asked the candidates the question on college carry.

"Without the regulation [banning guns], the University community's
safety is seriously compromised. Unquestionably, the vast majority of
gun owners are law-abiding citizens. Nevertheless, a rejected student
applicant could walk into the Dean of Admissions office with an openly
visible sidearm to discuss why the university rejected his application.
An expelled student could do the same while he met with the Dean of
Students to discuss his appeal of his expulsion. A disgruntled
ex-boyfriend armed with a large hunting knife mounted on his side could
enter the student residences to speak to his former girlfriend where she
lived. Finally, any person who wishes to enter Fenwick Library with a
sidearm, could not only frighten students and minors, such as
preschoolers, but also expose them to unnecessary risks, such as an
accidental discharge"

Yep, he's on our side.:banghead:
