That's a sad commentary on how low we've sunk. My first gun was a Savage target rifle given me by my Fathers Law Partner.

I have been looking high and low for a smallbore rifle for my 12 year old daughter and can't find one for under $1,000.... I'd REALLY like to find a used one if possible.

Yea... I kind of ... Um .... live here and know the boundaries very well. I also know that a call to one will produce a response from all.

The Manassas Park police responded to the Tony's incident that was the topic of this thread. :banghead:

Try www.cdnninvestments.com, download their latest catalog, and check page 40 for a used .22 taget rifle they're selling. You can call them to see if it meets your needs, and if so, find a local dealer to so the transfer, and Bob's your uncle.

There was one real awkward moment. When the cop asked for ID and we just sat there, nobody reached for there ID. That was a tense moment. Hyland's head was about to explode, he had no clue how to handle the situation and you could sense his anxiety mounting quickly.

Excepting people from this forum and VCDL members, I have yet to hear anyone's 2d hand version of the event being remotely close to what happened. People that heard the 'details' from the police, their versions were bloody insane.

Regarding the VA Arms clerk. At least now it is for 'political statement' vs 'they were lawsuit shopping'. &*^^% Why he agrees the police had a right to harass people for lawfully making a political statement I don't know.

I wasn't implying anything by my post,
I was under the impression that it was MCPD only since I saw nothing mentioning Manassas Park on the VCDL page that covers that topic.

Amazing site, Grape. Thank you again! Now I just need to find the $$$ to get one. Looks like the best chance of finding one is on that site. Saw a couple rifles, but we'll see how it goes.

To confirm it was Manassas City officers, although at least one, Hittel was a former Manassas Park officer. We had joked about going to Rack and Roll Billiards in MP, which was on the news at the time for the harassment they were getting from the MPPD
