Yes...the website is worded incorrectly.

That statute says:

a. The hunter education program established under s.
29.591 or a substantially similar program that is estab-
lished by another state, country, or province and that is
recognized by the department of natural resources.

That is one great question. We should be able to redact that and just leave the service number on the DD214 but DoJ would have to answer that ...

THey can't require you to supply the SSN...

Right...so there is no reason then why one couldn't redact the # from copy of DD214

After the training certificate nonsense, I am at least happy to see that, in addition to my out of state permit, I won't need an affidavit sworn to by an official with the Utah BCI verifying that my Utah permit (which I continue to wait for in the mail) is valid and not currently supended or revoked.

It is compared to Missouri.

But then, cost is relative if there is a class that must be taken, since those are rarely, if ever, free.
