Or, on the other hand (and try to stay with me here) they all feel like many and that is that they will need every one of those rounds to defend against what's on the not-so-distant horizon.

Since when does the United State Imperial Army use .308 and 7.62x39?

.223 and 5.56 NATO, sure. 9MM Parabellum, maybe.

45, 22, 357? No way in hell. These calibers are also disappearing.
.308 is a standard NATO caliber. Soare .45 ACP,.357 Mag and .38 Special. When I was in SF, we were also issued AKM's and PK and DP Machine Guns chambered for 7.62x 39.

Thanks for providing the service. I just posted three entries at that link.

Thanks Spitgyr. I'll leave it unlocked with no registration as long as I can. Sooner or later the teenage nymphs and Amoxicillin folks will find it though!

I haven't looked at it today, I went Bar hunting:D Had a good day!

Was at Gilbert's Range today. They were limiting customers to ONE box of ammo due to them not having enough...

Wait, the one on 33, or the one on 42 (Dayton)?

For that matter, what were you doing in my neck of the woods? :D

Dawson's in Woodbridge has plenty of ammo in stock.
The fact they are charging >$40 for a 20rd box of HP/Powerball might be the reason.
I don't think I've ever bought anything there. I was shell shocked at their high prices and this was even a few years ago.

The spam hasn't been too bad so far:uhoh:
I added an exchange forum so people who have something they don't need, can swap it with someone that does need it.

I am also going to ad the Northern Neck.

I have been searching local Wal-Marts for months for WWB Value packs of 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP. The shelves are bare; it's snapped up as soon as it hits the stores.

I finally ordered 2K rounds each of the above mentioned from Ammunition to Go. I saw the "Order shipment is delayed 7-10 days because of demand" but the my order arrived in less that one week. The price was comparable and I'm pleased with my purchase.

I have recently checked A2Go and other sites and the choices for handgun ammo are severely diminished.

Buy your ammo early and often.

went to walmart by potomac mills last night to see if they had any 9mm. The sales associate there was told me that wal mart might stop carrying ammo and so all the private ranges are buying everything up along with citizens just in case of a world war. He really seemed like he had no clue what he was talkin about though. Has anyone else been told that wal mart might stop carrying ammo?

I think that is bogus but we would hardly know the difference. Found a small amountrecently in Danville and Jacksonville, NC. A clerk in a local Wally had a theory that they don't wantcities or suburbs to have too much on hand in case of civil disorderand divert it to more rural areas. Who knows?

I don't think it's a military issue so much as a raw material issue. For example, lead is used in tons of industrial applications, and with China and India stepping up their development the demand for such raw materials is also up.

I haven't purchased factory ammunition for a long time...I'm a reloader...but I bet it's frustrating. I know for some reason primers are starting to get in short supply too.

9MM isn't too hard to find Bubba, but if you get stuck, let me know. I'm sure I have 300 rounds of hardball.
