What does, a dog, no knock, WAC, and ATF, have in common?

Cop apologists frequently object that workers in other fields also make mistakes, whether inadvertently or willfully, and cops should be afforded the same forbearance. This case is a good example of why such comparison is fundamentally absurd: when a typical worker in a typical industry violates standards of conduct, people's liberties and lives are not threatened, let alone taken. When you add in the immunity typically afforded cities (as happened in this case), police departments, and police officers, any comparison involving consequences for misconduct disappears entirely. All that is left is contrast. Anyone who freely chooses to enter the law enforcement profession must be held to dramatically-elevated standards of conduct, and face dramatically-elevated consequences for misconduct.

Enjoyed meeting you today. Yes, you are correct. LEOs must be held to a higher standard since their negligence/recklessness/maliciousness (pick all that apply) affect(s) peoples liberties and (dare I say it) God-given rights.
