When the government, which is a PUBLIC entity (that means that is it SUPPOSED to represent all of its citizens), plays favorites, and endorses a particular religion, that constitutes discrimination against CITIZENS (who, according to certain people, are "whimpering" when they object to being treated like second class citizens, but who gives a sht about them, they are just piece of crap minorities to wonderful people like you) who are not adherents of that religion.

The point is that for a long period of time, adherents of certain religions were systematically forbidden from having chaplins.

Christmas is a renaming of a pagan holiday, most bible scholars believe Christ was born in the spring and not the winter. Also if you tried to de list Christmas as a holiday the unions representing government employees will throw a cow, I hardly think they feel oppressed by either a day off or holiday premium pay. I mean that's crap straight out of nazi germany right there

Nobody is forced to participate, it is still a free country. And I believe if you insist you could work the holiday if your job or the government gives you off. The government did not create the holiday, only allowed people to celebrate it, nobody is forced to pray, buy gifts, or any such silly claims. I'm personally fine with Christmas (or Saturnalia if you prefer). I enjoy all the pagan rituals like decorating trees and such. I just don't partake in the delusion that it's Jesus' birthday, when even Biblical scholars say it isn't. Same thing with Easter, I enjoy all the pagan rituals like coloring eggs, without pretending that a day that changes from year to year depending on when the Spring Equinox is, is actually the day Jesus rose from the dead. I can celebrate these holidays without attributing obvious lies about the meaning to the holiday.

Making a religious holiday into a federal holiday does not enable its celebration. By your "logic", Jews are not able to celebrate their holidays because they have not been made into federal holidays.

Jews celebrate hanukkah at the same date, African Americans celebrate kwanzaa, there is nothing in the law that demands that anybody celebrate anything. Complaining about others faith IMO is pithy.
