Here's what the Anti's are coming after next......

Per a source, the anti's are coming after via an Initiative or RCW:

1. Preemption. They want each city to be able to regulate guns and how and where people carry them. "This one will be accomplished via an Initiative of the People."

2. Assault Weapons Ban, again via an Initiative.

3. Magazine Restrictions, 10 round limits or less. Via RCW

4. Gun lock up, via RCW

5. May Issue CPL, via Initiative

This is what I have been told by a reputable source who is in the know via Infiltration. These are the goals. They have donors with deep pockets and Mayors who know how to get the vote out, like Ed Murray said, We made History.

Well history has a way of repeating itself. Unless we get organized. It's not a matter of supporting the NRA or SAF, yes we need to do that, but what we need are grass root community organizers, who can Educate people and get the vote out.

We can't depend upon the courts. Appeals take years and in the meantime people become felons.

The initiative process is ripe for these abuses.

Remember how they kept saying "background checks are COMMON SENSE" and made it sound so REASONABLE?

Just imagine how the PR for repealing state pre-emption will be.

It's only COMMON SENSE to allow communities to draft their own gun laws. Communities know their own local needs best so let them do it. Blah Blah Blah.

To oppose that they will paint you as a fascist who is against democracy.


We need to get organized NOW to stop this.

I already have several good TV and youtube commercial ideas for these:

pre-emption: guy driving down the street, gets pulled over by a cop who asks if he has a gun, guy says yes, cop says "don't you know you just crossed over into XXXXXXX city? Loaded guns in cars are illegal here. You're going to jail." Or similar scenario with someone walking along on a sidewalk.

"assault weapons ban:" Show an old rifle breaking and a guy reinforcing it with an iron rod and some duct tape then a police officer arresting him and telling him he now has an "illegal assault weapon." Also, start showing pictures of AR-15s with hunting rifle stocks that were created in NY to get around the ban. Or show someone duct-taping a wooden handle to a long-barreled revolver.

The Seattle PI just had an article that the "gun safety" people had a postelection rally to send a "we're not done" message.
They've always been clear that they want the maximum firearm restrictions possible up to and including banning all civilian ownership.
Since this little victory, I imagine they think they'll be able to ride it on to further restrict us.
Whether or not that list is genuine doesn't matter. All those things have been on their to-ban list for a long time, and now they think they have the political climate to do it.

One thing that occurred to me recently, is that the biggest problem we have when challenging something in court on constitutional grounds is that the courts treat different rights differently. As if "shall not be infringed" means different things when discussing different rights, despite the document they are written into being written by the same people at the same time.

This is why the US Supreme Court keeps applying a VERY broad reading of the first amendment and a very narrow reading of the second.

It might be interesting to get a law passed (though it might need to be a constitutional amendment) requiring the courts to use the same standard of scrutiny for all constitutional and civil rights that they use for any of them.

True, it could backfire -- but given how dedicated the courts are to freedom of speech and expression, a backfire is unlikely.

that 60% only cost bloomberg $12m. and that despite the claim that "90% support background checks". if it were really true, it would have been even more a landslide. this is an important data point in itself.

what it tells me is that background checks are not nearly as widely supported as believed. also, elected officials still fear the NRA. initiatives are a completely different thing from state legislation.

If AmeriKans want to stop the tide, they will need to FIGHT to stop it. There is NO "working within the system" to stop this.


"Fighting for your freedom" isn't what a single US soldier has done in nearly 70 years, but will be what every American who still recognizes what "freedom" is, will have to do.

The "Majority" in Washington state appears to be in disagreement with this. If you don't like that, don't expect the courts, lawmakers, etc. to change it for you.

Too bad the Constitution has become virtually meaningless from Coast to Coast.
