Shopped yesterday for vaping supplies at Evapes OKC on Council Rd, very carry friendly place. Dinner last night @ Casa de los Milagros. Nobody said a word, but that place is as carry friendly as they come.

Today, Tabitha and I had Starbucks @ Bricktown, then lunch at Earl's Rib Palace. Both carry friendly places. Then shopped @ Bass Pro. Anyone seeing a pattern here? LOL

Oh, worked two OHP crashes this weekend while OC. The troopers in OKC are fully used to seeing me OC.

So, yet another boring "I OC'd and nothing happened" post... just the way I like it.

Had my first wide-eyed little kid experience today in the Walmart parking lot...a little boy about 6 or 7. He saw my pistol as I was getting out of the truck, turned to his dad and said "Oooohhhhh...a GUN!!" Dad smiled and nodded at me, I laughed and went in to do my shopping. As I walked past the pharmacy Rebecca the pharmacy tech I always seem to have helping me with my prescriptions waved me over. She said "You got different grips on your gun" and she was right. Just put them on tonight. I think she's kinda' sweet on me. Makes this old man feel pretty good, but don't tell my wife. :lol: Here's a pic of the new 2A bling:



After that I headed over to Lowes for some plumbing supplies. The lady working in that section came over to ask if I needed help and commented that I was the first person she had seen open carrying in the store. All in all a pleasant non-event kinda' day.

Good luck to him on that one. I believe he will find that Wal-Mart corporate policy is to follow the law of the state where the store is located. If OC is legal, I believe that even the store manager has no authority to post the store.

Now, nothing prevents a manager from asking you to leave if a sheeple customer complains that (s)he is "uncomfortable" with you OC'ing. At that point, I would ask the manager to come outside with me (you gotta leave if they ask !), whereupon I would ask him where exactly he gets off deciding that the sheeple's comfort is more important than mine ("I'm uncomfortable knowing I can't protect myself and my family if a thug decides to cause trouble in your store !!!").

I also am pretty certain there would be something distinctive about the sheeple customer that would cause me discomfort, and I would be asking the manager to eject them as well, so I could disarm and go back in shopping (I would never return, but you get the idea).

Finally, I'd make clear to him I'm working up the food chain to Regional and National, just so he thinks twice the next time a sheeple bleats to him and he decides they are more important to the store's bottom line than I am.

My dad taught me many years ago - "you don't HAVE to buy that one car - there's thousands more out there !!". Same with a store --- if they don't want my business, I'm happy to take it somewhere where my rights are respected. Sure, it's their store - but it's my wallet - and my feet !!!

As managers at the individual stores, we would simply tell the other customer that Walmart as a company does not prohibit the LAWFUL possession of a firearm in accordance with state and local laws. Therefore we can not ask the individual that is carrying to leave.

I usually CC but the few occasions that I have OC'd have been pleasant. I have OC'd at my store (WM I-40 and Sooner) on my days off, the Neighborhood Market (Reno & Midwest Blvd), the Walgreens just across the street from there, the OnCue at 15th and Air Depot, WM on I-35 in Norman. The Circle K at 59th and Sooner has 'gun busters' :banghead: so I went across the street to the Sooner Mart with no issues, guy didn't even blink. OC'd at Alligator Alley, super nice people, if you have an exotic, this is the place to go.
I took my daughter to the Medievil Fair in Norman Sunday. OC'd the whole time, even the Norman Officers that I walked by did not take a second look.
Other OC or CC friendly restaraunts in the MWC area are, Los Vequeros, Montery Jack's, Steak 'n Shake, Logan's Roadhouse and Chili's (I have heard, I have not eaten there in quite some time).:banana:

Today my wife, son and I were out car shopping and we went to I Luv cheap cars at 1101 s 193Rd east Ave. In Tulsa. The sales person Ruben benavides was very polite and friendly. The company all around are extremely Firearm friendly and stand behind the 2A.
One of the owners actually teach carry classes. I have them a card with OKOCA information and invited them to check us out as well as other groups that feel the same way as we do about our 2A.
Even though we did not make a purchase today due to some issues that need to be fixed with the vehicle we are interested in, we do hope that we will make a deal when it's ready. And I recommend there company to anyone who is in the market for a vehicle and wants to also support a company with the same beliefs as us.
And no top of it all they do have a nice selection to pick from and very clean cars as well. I invite them to watch our pages and to feel free to join us during any of our get togethers that we have. I hope they will think about joining us for the cause.
I shared the signs that they proudly display on there business doors.

Never dealt with them personally, but a close friend bought a car for her daughter that proved to have some overheating issues. I looked at it and advised her to let the dealer know. She thought she was SOL because it had been a few weeks since she drove it off the lot. I told her that it wouldn't hurt to let them know about it. As soon as they heard about it, they jumped in a fixed the problems right away. No hassles, no problems.

I stopped to fuel my wrecker today in Seiling. I pulled up to the pump and went inside to prepay, and saw a gunbuster sign just as I cleared the plane of the door. Rather than doing the usual about face, I pulled out a no guns, no money card and told the clerk to pass this on to the manager. I told her that I was buying probably $200 of diesel, but that I'd be going to the Domino down the street since they don't make me disarm.

Seemed VERY out of place to see a gunbuster in Seiling.

When I got my fuel at Domino, I made a point to tell the manager why I came to her store instead. She agreed totally and said she has a handgun license herself

Went shopping at sprouts and natural grocers with no issue. Had a nice conversation with a gentleman about open carry. Took one of my sons to Interurban to eat again on issue.

Chucky Cheese Pizza

My wife set up a Birthday party for my grandson at Chucky Cheese. She made a deposit 2 weeks ago. Upon entering the first set of doors no posting of gunbusters was seen. The second set of doors on the lower right side next to the door there was a no gun sign with a statement below it that violators will be charged with trespass.
The store is located on the south side of I-240 in OKC.
If she hadn't made a deposit and we didn't have multiple guests already there I would have walked away from it.
They do have an armed uniformed OKC police officer there on duty as you enter the store and their safety measures of stamping childrens and parents hands to prevent child theft makes it a secured area.
This was yesterday Sunday the 14th.
I'm not sure that they have a police officer there, every day their open. If they do then it is their idea of providing a safe secured area.
Your choice on using their store.

Chucky Cheese in Tulsa is posted, but I have never seen a LE presence. Must be a local thing.
Lately I have been to Carls Jr at 103rd and Memorial, Wendy's in Catoosa, Applebee's in Broken Arrow, Walmart in Claremore, Lowes in Claremore and Broken Arrow, Daylight Donuts on Hwy 51 at Oneta Rd, and no horses fainted, no old ladies running in the streets, no problems and mostly no one even noticed.

Officer encounter

I was in QT yesterday. A man asked me if I was LE. I said "No sir, just a well armed citizen". (Springfield XDM full frame). He laughed. We went outside and a TPD officer was walking out with us. As we stood there talking about the process of obtaining a permit (in which he was one of the many still wating for his to be mailed). She walked right past me looking at my pistol. She never stopped, just got into her cruiser and drove off. I really love that the Police are as much for our rights as we are.

Took my two boys turkey hunting yesterday down by Apache. OC my .40 along with my Browning Maxus. Turkey must not like OC as they all ran away. Walked around Medicine Park a bit. Few looks but that's it. Probably could have used a bigger gun as I saw (and had to laugh a bit) a midget walking a Saint Bernard that was as big as a bear. Several well placed shots would have been needed on that beast.

Very quiet day of OC as usual.

Tulsa Regular

I suppose I shouldn't wonder why there aren't more posts about the Tulsa area if I don't do it myself!

Typically I open carry in 2 or 3 businesses daily between the "midtown" area out to the Walmart on S Memorial and have never had a problem. I've also taken to carrying my empty holster if I absolutely must go into an office (lawyer or downtown) where it is prohibited; but have not been asked about that either.
Specifically, on Yale across from the fairgrounds @ 15th: Target, Sears, Reasors, & Lowes. Those last two are extremely frequent as well as the Walmart market on the south side of big splash. Starting to be recognized and getting head nods with a smile. Lots of QTs also

Closest thing I've had to trouble would be at Akins this morning on 51st. My wife wanted me to stop for some buckwheat flour @9am (2 customers) and I wandered around a bit until I located it in a refrigerator case instead of with the baking goods. Seeing the price I texted back and forth with her a couple times before she decided it was too expensive. AS I was leaving a man in a tie and the biggest stocker they apparently had came steaming around the end of the isle and demanded if there was anything they could do to help me. Continuing to walk towards the front, I smiled politely, pointed to my phone, and replied "No thanks, my wife decided that it was too expensive and I'll shop elsewhere." That really deflected and deflated him more than his obvious worry.
On the other hand I was in the AT&T store near the Promenade Mall off 41st and though I received prompts attention, no one was confrontational with me at all.

Oh, I'm in Claremore at Swan Dairy weekly picking up raw milk and cheese. The gentlemen at the register only noticed a few weeks ago and commented I was his first. He's retired law enforcement from Texas and was very supportive. I guess our weapons have generally been obscured by jackets, so now WE'RE past being nervous and there have been no incidents since fall, I'm betting they'll be more noticed as the weather warms up and the open carry is more obvious.

Been awhile since I posted, since then I've been to Walgreens, hobby lobby on 71st, Gordmans, mardel's, bed bath, & beyond, best buy, (same shopping center.) and the liquor store at 31st and Garnett. Also to the red lobster 71st & memorial, the vintage stock, and beck's. I carry at Sam's every week, and hit up bass pro, and steak & shake, ran into a guy there who said he OC'd but he forgot his wallet.

Anyway, to the title of my post, has anyone carried at the mall? I haven't been there since January, I don't know their policy.

Another trip to Swan dairy in Claremore, high school guy behind the counter hardly blinked. Stopped at the Jiffy Jon/ Phillips 66 off of Highway 66 in Catoosa without issue. Gas at QT, 21st & Memorial
Empty holster at TTC off 111S & 129 E to pick up student. TSCO SUV at the curb but I never got in the door because she came out so maybe this doesn't count.
