Of course...

And now facebook rsvp's are a problem? sheesh. I'm not even surprised anymore. I never said people HAD to rsvp. I added the facebook page so that my Friends would see it and rsvp if they're coming.

Always something to whine about here.

WOW! I asked a simple question if we could RSVP somewhere else. "sheesh"

I will be unable to attend the rally, so I won't need to respond to this thread anymore. Unsubscribed.

I wasn't referencing your question, Goose. Yours was a valid question. I simply cannot fathom why bookman would be complaining about the point of rsvp'ing to a public event. I never said people had to rsvp. It was simply a post showing the link IF people had facebook and wanted to.

Just tired of the whining. That is all.

It's meant to be a legitimate question. I'm truly curious to learn the reason you suggested it. You may have a good reason I haven't been able to come up with.

So. I ask again, why RSVP?

Bookman, As I said... it is posted so that my Friends can rsvp if they're on facebook. Nobody is forcing you to rsvp, an I never said it is required. I simply posted it here in case anyone already on facebook wants to rsvp. Just ignore it.

Social Media. To increase awareness and attendance when using a social media site each action (rsvp) that you make is 'broadcast' to the people you interact with. It is like placing an advertisement and widening the scope of people that are aware and may attend the rally.

Thank you. That makes sense. The more people they see RSVP'd, the more likely some people are to show up, thus bringing in people who otherwise might not take the time to attend.

I can get behind that!

My curiosity is now assuaged.

Port Orchard,
We thought that anyone volunteering to help set up should be there around 8:30 or so. Many show up early to beat the crowd, so it would be nice to be ready for them. If we get set up faster than expected, we'll stand around and eat cookies! :banana:Also, anyone not speaking, please try not to hang aroung the podium; it got a little crowded last year. I will be Security again and I WILL use force if necessary, so PLEASE help me look good!

You secured the permit for 10:00 a.m...... How are you going to get away with setting up at 0830? They might have allowed us to set up a little early last time, but that is not in line with the rules and it is definitely not the norm down there. Particularly for groups that are not socialist. If your permit is scheduled from 10:00 to 4:00, don't be surprised if they stop you, make you leave and come back at 10:00.

I would also begin praying that nobody else has the park scheduled from 0800 to 1000 on the 30th. The time on your permit does not allow for groups to show up whenever they feel like it in order to set up and to leave whenever they feel like breaking down their equipment. 10:00 to 4:00 is the "official" time slot for you to use the park, INCLUDING set up and break down.

If you bake those cookies in the shape of a ruger .380 Squeak would eat them if they were peanut butter and calimari.

Did you know that he won a gun? ask him, he will tell you all about it.
