so, is it just the unloaded guns that are OK to point around? I got mixed info from the training..... :eek:

As a US Army veteran, you should have plety experience pulling the trigger of an M16 while pointing it at your battle buddy. While at the Ft. Benning School for Boys (Infantry Basic Training), our weapons training involved numerous dime drills (dime or similar coin balanced on a cleaning rod in the barrel while squeezing trigger) with our battle buddy staring down the tube. I credit my empty chamber check hypersensitivity on my Army training.

ahhh the good 'ole days of baking in the (Ft. Jackson, S. Carolina) sun while your battle buddy tried to learn how to keep the dime from falling....

I think that was acceptably safe training 'cause the cleaning rod was in the barrel, indicating a ?safe? chamber :lol:
