Been to a few local grocery stores (Farm Fresh & Kroger on Little Creek ward's Corner). No issues.

Was at Fuddruckers on VA Beach Blvd a few nights ago. No issues at all. Not even bug eyes from customers!

Regarding Hooters & dress code... I simply taught my daughters that what Hooter's Girls wear is their work uniform. It's part of the role. It's also a point I make that the girls who work at Hooters are NOT forced to work there. They chose to submit an application and therefore knew what they were getting into.

Honestly, what Hooter's Girls wear to work is no different than a service member's uniform or my employer'sbusiness dress casual. It's what our respective employers expect us to wear... aka 'Work Dress Code'.

Went out OC-ing to Chipotle for lunch then to the Dr. Dailey orthodontist for my oldest then Hampton Roads Eye Associates to pick up glasses for my youngest. Nothing said at any of the places.

Had a woman look like a sour-puss but decided that was her natural look. :p

Hello, My name is bobby i wanted to share a quick story with you. While shopping in Greenbrier mall this past weekend, My 1yr son was hungry so i walked to Mickey D's as i was ordering a sercurity guard walks up behind me taps my shoulder and says''Sir what do you think your doing''. i turned around saying HUH? "yOU CAN'T HAVE THAT IN HERE'' says the Douche. Knowing what hes clearly talking about,[ The Kimber on my hip]. I say What a Kid? referring to my son. Now let me just tell ya alittle about this guy 6'0 tall , 300lbs, shirt half untucked, ghetto sounding S.O.B says "Dont be a smartass the Gun On your hip I need you to leave and I'll walk you out right now!'' So i smile grab my sons hand and just start walking towards the door, He then shouts out loud ''Hey i said i'll walk you out''. I dont even look back, He comes running over beside me and says you think your a tough guy huh?. i just laugh, Then he tells me as im outside if we were on the street he'd take the gun away from me and beat my ass! LMAO! I said Id love to see your fat ass try! Gave him the finger and went on with my day.

Now, i'm sure there are no signs on the sears doors. My question is, Does the mall have to post at every entrance?

Ps: Mall Sercurity= Unarmed ( Please do not shop at Greenbrier Mall)

Hey Bobby, welcome to the forum.

They don't have to post signs at all. Any request to leave (by someone authorized to do so) means you must. Given the attitude of the security guard, I'd say the finger was a nice touch lol. I'd consider filing a complaint.

As a rule, please do not request that signs be posted.

As I mentioned in another thread recently, I have been under the impression that one is not required to acknowledge a sign in Virginia. Don't quote me on that. A request to leave / disarm must always be honored unless you want a trespass charge.

A lawyer who frequents this board had this to say about signs and trespassing:
user said:
Right, it does have to be effective notice, and any signage must be conspicuous.

Welcome to the forum. Fyi, all the malls around this area do not allow OC. Several people have been asked to leave and escorted out of the mall. If this happens you need to leave and don't volunteer your name. If they have your name they can put you on a list and ban you from the mall.

Many people CC while going to the mall rather than dealing with the mall cops. Sometimes the mall cops will call police to come and escort you out since they are unarmed. With the past mall shootings you would think allowing law abiding citizens to exercise their 2A rights would be higher on their priorities but for whatever reason it isn't. (probably insurance reasons)

If you fail to leave once asked you will be charged with trespassing. I would write a letter to the mall management stating what an a$$ the mall cop was. Other than that there isn't much you can do about it other than take your business elsewhere.

My daughter likes Justice clothes and there is one in the mall up here and one in a separate shopping center. I OC at the latter rather than going to the former when I can. Having two girls I can not afford to be banned from the mall though. :)

The gun ban in malls really upsets me. I can't understand why they choose to dis arm citizens. Esspecially when I'm walking out the door with VERY pricey things from the apple store. I feel like I have a huge "rob me" sign on my back walking out the door with a Apple product in hand. Maybe I'm just parinoid, and over protective of my new toys.

That is why they employ unarmed mall cops that patrol "inside" the mall. Once you leave they don't care about you much. Every now and then I do see a mall cop outside but all they can do is observe and report. :banghead:

I assume you're talking about MacArthur? I've OCd there twice. Guess I'm just lucky.

I have OC'd to MacArthur several times as well, I even remember walking right past a security guard with strong side facing her, and nothing happened. I have read their rules of conduct and it does not seem to prohibit carrying firearms.

Preemption covers most municipal buildings in the Commonwealth.

Unless you have to enter Building 10/10A. That's the courts building. If you're going to see the clerk of the court you probably have to go there. No carry at all allowed in a courthouse.

If you're just going to the Treasurer's office then you are 100% legal.
