I don't have to; the State mandates something based on the interpretation of the Constitution, and individuals pay the tax. I suspect you pay the tax as well. Unless you are one of those hard-core sovereigns who haven't paid taxes in years; that's assuming you got a job without a SS number. You are linked to the Federal Government, no matter what color pen you sign your name with--no matter what number or syntax you use to sign your checks, Government documents, drivers license, etc.

26CFR301.6109-1(c) does not list a citizen as someone to even request a TIN/ITIN/SSN, or what ever number you use, from.

Please cite what ever state statute in any state that requires a citizen to obtain a SSN for any other purpose than collecting Social Security benefits.

An example of a law citation would be 26USC Sec. 6020
Another one would be 26CFR 301.6109-1(c)
and for a last example 42USC Sec. 405(c) and it's sub parts.

The income tax is not voluntary I know that.
I know that the definition of "income" is found in the 1939 edit of the IRC. I also know that judges have pointed out that not even they can find the definition of "income" in the current edition of the IRC.
Please look up the index for the federal codes under then search for "citizen" and tell me where you find the reference in the IRC.
If earnings of citizens living and working with in the states of the union were the subject of the Federal Income Tax then why is it that you cannot fill out any version of the FORM 1040 without a SSN?

Why is there no law require a citizen to obtain a SSN for any reason other than collecting socialist security benefits? If you have found this law please share it with the rest of us. The IRS offices cannot even answer that question. The IRS offices admit you cannot file a 1040 without a SSN. Why is it that the IRS will not even talk to a citizen who does not have a SSN?

Interesting, I thought we were talking about the Law, and how there is no Law. How could I dispute a Law that doesn't exist; I am confused again, could you please elaborate.
