You have to know your eventual intended destination before you can plot a route to your objectives...
After reading your rantings in your initial reply on one of my post, I can see that while you're good with wording but fail on the point of reading between the lines, so to speak. The "rep" is NOT in reference to me, it's in reference to the license itself. You're just looking at it from one side of the issue, not both! As a former federal narcotics agent, that license, while it shouldn't be needed, does say alot to the LEO community at large! It tells them and others out there that know who we are that we're safer by nature and verified as such (See the image attached as a verbal example). Yes, it would be great if Constitutional Carry were the way of life but sadly, it is not! And while concelaed carry should not be something that we're "allowed" to do by virtue of the CCDW, IT IS! And being as such, it is also something that can be taken away just as easily as it was given. All we need is for some of these non-licensed CC'ers to kill people and then some liberal will automatically "jump the shark" and it will come back on those of us that are licensed CCDW. It would be great if this weren't the case but we all know how the liberal agenda goes.
What I'd much rather see in place, is a system like Ohio has for issuance of "emergency CCDW licensing" that would allow the temp license to stand good for 90 days at which time they could apply and past the CCDW class to be licensed normally.
Let's face facts here. This is mainly angled towards the lower economic class, according to the story. The claim is the the class is to expensive and then added to that is the cost of the weapon. The fact is that a weapon, bought legally is more expensive that the class, at this time. If they can afford the weapon, they can surely afford the class as well. If that gentleman from Danville really wants to help out the lower economic class, then fix the cost of the classes, and lock them down before they raise again, as I've been hearing they're going to soon.
This has nothing to do with anyone being or feeling elite to anyone else. This is an issue of protecting something that we have and can't afford to lose.
