2. That within 60 days of the effective date of this act, the Attorney General shall enter into agreements for reciprocal recognition of concealed handgun permits or licenses with states where such agreements were in existence as of December 1, 2015, as required by the provisions of this act; otherwise the provisions of this act shall not become effective.
I may be reading the clause wrong but doesn't the highlighted portion change the intent from honoring concealed hand gun permits or licenses from all states that issue them to having to honor only those we honored as of December 1, 2015? The new clause would not require us to enter into an agreement with Georgia and others were we did not previously have an agreement.
