That would have been the end.And yes, we could easily have won the day. But we are not fighting for the day. We are fighting for the end.

You are absolutely right Nemo except this VCDL Lobby day social event has been going on for how many years?
partially/fully failing at your publicized activity after so many years is in no way better than doing nothing...
squawking about how others did not do enough ~ i guess you are not familiar with process/change engineers [six sigma/lean activities] or quality professionals and their purpose in manufacturing/project management to assure events/projects/etc meet repeatable & established criteria thus assuring "customers/organizational/ad nauseam" needs are met within established ROI guidelines. these folks get payed big $$$ as the save organizational monies, assure contractional obligations are met!
your function in the Lobby activity?
Nemo, what right do you believe gives you this presumption to ask ~ publicly, then continue to demand a response about my advocacy activities? My activities have been and will continue to be private and personally achieved known only to those close cohorts who have a need to know.
therefore, i will not facilitate nor entertain any further nonsensical commentary about the subject so please cease as your self-fulling my pappy's adage!
Short story-- last year we were able to get 44 out of 45 gun control bills killed. The other one died in the financial analysis review.
No, I don't do engineer stuff. I do political stuff that gets things done.
Planner, organizer, team leader, lobbyist
Once again, I ask to see if you are anything more than the guy who sits on the sideline griping about how inadequate the results from those that are doing something.
And again, you confirm it.

Yes they are still working on the other side and we are still working on the good side. The battle continues and we know some will be lost, some will be won. The ones we lose will be brought back and fought on other fields.
And we will still be following/fighting the law as far as possible until we get it changed by proper methods.
Can we win them all? Only if you share your vast knowledge of the means, methods and intracies of lobbying and legislating. Until then we will continue in our fight.

As solus said, that is old news. What you seem to refuse to understand is when you had the opportunity to enforce the second amendment you (collectively) folded. You had the nation come to your defense and you failed to take advantage of that rare moment. Signs everywhere proclaiming "WE WILL NOT COMPLY" and everyone there complied. A civil war was fought to end slavery and in the end you accepted slavery with open arms.Short story-- last year we were able to get 44 out of 45 gun control bills killed. The other one died in the financial analysis review.
Keep up the pressure on the elected state reps that are vulnerable to being ousted as a immediate consequence of anti-individual liberty voting habits...good luck Virginia.
WIN!! Big anti-gun bill killed in committee for the year. Pushed back to next year for study.

Gun bills are going to be heard in the House Firearms subcommittee on Tuesday, February 18, at 8:30 am in the Room 300-A Subcommittee Room in the General Assembly building at 900 East Main St. in Richmond.
Bills being heard:
SB 71 - This is an extremely bad bill that will make churches and synagogues which have daycare or preschool classes into gun-free zones! This would hit synagogues particularly hard. VCDL strongly opposes this bill.
SB 173 - This bill allows someone with a CHP to have a stun weapon in their vehicle while on school property. VCDL strongly supports this bill.
SB 436 - creates a “Virginia Voluntary Do Not Sell List,” where a person can voluntarily have their name added and, later, removed if desired. A person on the list cannot purchase a firearm, under penalty of a misdemeanor if they try. What this bill actually accomplishes is a mystery, but a person could maliciously put another person on the list. The penalty for doing so, if caught, is a misdemeanor. VCDL opposes this bill.
Action Item: Click here to tell your Delegate to OPPOSE SB 71.
We held the field in the big one but smaller skirmishes are still occurring.
