    In the event I am in my car and get into an accident while wearing my gun, If I am able to exit the vehicle, should I secure my gun in the vehicle prior to exiting or is it ok to get out with it on to evaluate the damage while waiting for the police to arrive?

    My Son who is an upstanding gun carrying citizen was recently stopped by the police for a discrepancy with his vehicle tag. the two officers proceeded to conduct a search of his vehicle and found his loaded firearm in his glove box. They took his gun and he now has to go to court for concealment charges. I do belive the laws have changed in virginia regarding glovebox kept firearms without a CC permit. can anyone shed any light on this?
