Here is another one...

For anyone who would like to come out on short notice I'll be heading into the woods at 12pm sharpish this coming Saturday.

Reply here for RSVP.

This is located approximately 20 min south of the beltline, near US1 South and Old Hwy US1. Or New Hill, NC for reference.

I'm planning on putting the pistol course together again for anyone interested. I also am working on getting some heavier plates this week for a carbine course. Just got a new toy and want to make it sing.

Regards,

argh....

Should I got do the Down East Garand Shoot....

Should I go to the RD-RC Spring Fly In (RC Airplane stuff)...

or

Should I go to Chatham County and shoot a lot?

I don't know...

However, I am leaning heavily towards going to the RD-RC fly in, since I am running low on bullets, and now matter what I do, it'll all cost the same.

Saying that, I will step down from participating in this event, and let someone else take my spot. I haven't gone flying in a while, and having a bunch of other rc pilots around (and the intoxicating smell of flow fuel ) sounds like a lot of fun.

Elixin you're welcome any time. I'll be going a lot in the coming weeks so feel free to shoot me a pm when you can make it and I'll see if I can too.

I sat in the rain Saturday afternoon, just because I was too excited not to get out and sight in the new eotech. Plus it's cool to watch your rifle function flawlessly when it's dripping wet.

I just finished piecing together a 4 mo. old AR build. Topped things off with a BCM 14.5" upper with the battlecomp muzzle brake. Even being new to carbines it was clear to me that this thing is a laser. ZERO muzzle rise with that comp., I highly recommend them.

I have bulk 223 arriving this week, and I'm fixin to put together gongs for it (AR500, plate will hang lower than pistol use do)

I see myself concentrating on the new AR platform for the foreseeable future. I got the magpul dynamics dvds and there're a lot of great drills on them to practice practice practice.

So anyone who is in to CQC carbine training and can give good pointers is 'extra welcome'!

Not trying to bust your chops or anything, but after shooting it, do you think that the fees and hassle of registering an SBR (Class 3) are worth it? Was it difficult to get your Sheriff to sign off on your BATFE Form 1? Or did you go the "Trust" route?

That additional $200 for the short barrel seems like a LOT to pay for what is essentially "bragging rights"... ;)

No doubt it's cool as all-get-out, but I can't afford that sort of "cool", and I'm not willing to give up my 4th Amendment rights just so I can own Class 3... :uhoh:

Dreamer the brake is pinned on this rifle so no NFA requirements.

My next one, however, will be a true SBR with a suppressor. So I'm going to start saving for that!

Guys something is brewing right now that will likely take me to PA through the weekend. I might have to get back to you all on this... I apologize, this is just the nature of my work.
