Duluth Ballroom Jeans

Anyone have any first-hand experience with these jeans? I'm fed up with trying on jeans in stores and only finding assgloves. I used to be very comfortable in Banana Republic relaxed-fit jeans, but apparently the standard girl-man of today finds having his thighs shrink-wrapped relaxing. Not surprising, since he probably waxes and wears makeup. Masculinity has been dead for so long...

But I digress. Anyone had a pair of the Ballroom jeans from Duluth Trading Company? They get great reviews, but my concern is that they're old-guy jeans. I'm only 34, and while I'm not remotely interested in "fashion", I don't want to look like I'm packing a diaper.

They are not old-guy jeans! Check out the construction of the high-drag/low-speed clothing designed for highly trained operators who are members of Special [strike]Olympics[/strike] Forces-type units. The same diamond crotch gusset is in their tacti-cool pants.

Be sure that you get a set of SideWinder suspenders to go with your jeans. Not only do they work better than typical fore-and-aft suspenders*, they make the sheeple think you are wearing a shoulder rig.

Looked at the Sidewinder suspenders. I abhor the metal clips on suspenders - much prefer the under belt hook of the Perry suspenders

If you are getting a wedgie wearing these, you need to slack off a bit on the tension - no need to wear your belt up around your chest like Screech.

I use to own a few pair of Diamond Gusset Jeans. They fit well and had plenty of ball room. They are American Made and almost 1/2 the price as the American Made Duluth version.

I looked at Diamond Gusset. Duluth had a lot more information on their site, which is important when I can't go see the product in a store, let alone try it on, and I found a ton of positive, even rave, reviews online for the Duluth jeans. If I'm not completely happy with the one pair of Duluth jeans I ordered last night, I'll give Diamond Gusset a try. Thanks for the reference.

I'm not fond of shoulder rigs that have the muzzle point to the rear. Have stood behind people carrying like that and it makes me very uncomfortable.

Those suspenders are the same ones I think that Skid was referring to earlier. At first I thought that they would interfere with my preferred holster location - now I'm not so sure. Going to order a pair and see how it works for me.
