false, this is your fantasy. People who vote for whom they believe in do not throw their vote away anymore than those that voted for the 1st loser in the race. You can keep repeating a false statement but it does not make it anymore true. You can keep repeating what you have done for the last 50 years and expecting a different result, expecting change or expecting utopia, but none will happen without doing something different. Vote for a candidate who you believe in and aligns with your ideals. If you believe in a marxist vote for obama, if you believe in socialism vote for romney, if you believe in libertarianism vote for johnson, etc... Having 'thrown away my vote' for mccain last time, i will no longer repeat the same mistake. Unlike others, i will not take into account the electoral college, i will do what is right. I am willing for you to mock me, go ahead if it makes you feel better. I am willing to do the right thing. I am willing to follow my conscious.

Apparently some 50,000 'threw' away their votes in washington last time. I applaud them, what courage!

and so did the 1,000,000 folks who voted for McCain, by your own logic. They lost by 500,000 votes so the 50,000 who voted their conscience wouldn't have changed the result either. Your 1,000,000 should have voted en mass for a 3rd party candidate which woul have meant that that party was treated differently by the Federal Election Commission, the Presidential Debates, and been eligible for matching funds. Now that would have made a difference, instead of voting for the Red or Blue candidate form the status quo party.

Well put Vitaeus. This is the simple logic that Dave and so many like him fail to realize.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Well said Sir.

If we never vote for change it will never happen...

I have no issue with voting for change but at least when it comes down to the end of the battle at least go in with someone that has a chance to win at this point in time Johnson has less of a chance then a snow ball in hell, maybe next time?

And do you really think Romny has a snow balls' chance in hell at winning WA? We are not even a battleground state, WA is going to Obama. If you want to go back and forth about voting, atleast discuss a race that we can affect. On that note, go McKenna.

If folks always wait for next time, when will it occur? Myself I find all three candidates basically equal, but the possibility of making a third party more viable is worth the chance. Machine politician from Chicago,Venture Capitalist from the people's republic of Mass, or a Republican who couldn't pay his bills and talked another party into covering his debts. None of the above is a good choice, but adding another player to the dance has at least the virtue of rearranging more than who sits in the chair.

Vice Presidential candidate, Judge Jim Gray will be in Spokane on October 1 and 2. On Monday, 1 October, he will be at Spokane Events and Catering, 10512 E Sprague Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA 99206. From 1900 to 2100, he will give a presentation, answer questions, and shake hands. We will have coffee and water, and some cookies to munch on. There is a bar in the event room, but everyone will have to buy their own. Obama says this ethanol doesn't qualify for his subsidy.

I have open carried in this facility before and was carrying when I met with the owner to coordinate this event. I'll be carrying Monday evening. Who wants to join me?

A lot of posts, but I'm still looking for replies to my question, "Who wants to join me [tomorrow evening]?"

I will if I can get my water line fixed today.

Hopefully its not under 4' of pit run on a hill with your driveway on top like mine was when it broke last September. And they got these great new fitting that I finally used because I couldn't get the pipe to sweat properly. Shark Bite I believe is the name, no soldering needed.

Put a Gary Johnson sign in my yard the other day. First political sign ever!

It was the stop and waste valve for the sprinkler system that broke, 4+ feet down, the guy, me, that installed it put a bunch of gravel all around the valve so it could drain but I also put unions on both sides of the valve. The biggest problem I had was the hole had to be big enough for my rather large self to get into and work. Got it done about 6 last night.
