Yes I saw that earlier when researching another issue earlier.
My neighborhood (in Yorktown) and the two next to me recently had people kicking in the front door after ringing the doorbell to see if anyone was home. One lady who didn't answer the door because she didn't recognize them was surprised when they kicked in her door. Luckily for her they ran once they realized someone was home. I believe one or both are now in custody.
In my estimation an average size man can kick in a deadbolted door with one to three kicks so being prepared (OC/CC/shotgun) is always recommended.
