OC on the Norfolk TIDE?
I decided to check out the new train to nowhere today. It's been busy with all the people checking it out, and the HRT has staff and volunteers in abundance. I saw no uniformed security, but several men looked very much like plain clothes cops. The shoes, they always wear cop shoes... I got on about 1150, rode from Newtown Rd stop and and back, about an hour and 20 minutes total. The train stopped at the maintenance sheds to transfer engineer/drivers, but it seemed fairly ordinary. I was observed by quite a few of the HRT staff, but not a word about the gun. Riders in front of and behind me were admonished that no food or drinks were allowed, but I was not approached or spoken to by anyone other than to ask me if I'd like a schedule. The train may or may not be worth the money, but it was a pleasant ride, and so far, no issues with carry. Any other OC/CC riders yet?
